Can’t Afford a Lawyer will assign you your own barrister who will remain your point of contact. We can normally arrange a same day appointment. At a mutually convenient time you will have the opportunity to discuss your problem with a legal professional. This is your chance to raise any queries you have about the law, a specific legal procedure or the options available to you.
Where possible your barrister will provide you with answers over the phone. However, in the majority of cases specific questions are dealt with by a post-consultation report. This report is included in the price of your consultation.
After your consultation you will better understand the law, legal procedure and the options that are available to you. Armed with the appropriate legal information you will be well placed to move forward with your problem.
Written report and summary
After each telephone consultation you will receive a report detailing the information you have identified as needing. This means that you do not have to take notes during your conversation.
The written reports and summaries are monitored by Can't Afford a Lawyer to ensure the highest levels of service and compliance with the Bar Code of Conduct.

Some of our clients are experiencing ongoing legal difficulties that require continuing support. Our follow-up consultation service ensures that you speak to the same barrister throughout. There will be no need to repeat the details of your case because he or she will be familiar with your case.
Follow-up consultations are booked through Can't Afford a Lawyer rather than with the barrister directly.
